Lavrov: The western solution to the war in Ukraine is not serious

According to Fars International News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday that Western countries are not serious in their proposals for the solution of the war in Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign Minister added: “The statements of the leaders of the Western countries about the relationship with Putin regarding Ukraine are not respected.”

He continued: “We are in contact with America about the activities of the embassies, but we have not yet succeeded in removing the obstacles that have been created since Obama’s time.”

“No one wanted a nuclear war, but talking about it in the absence of a strategic framework means relying on luck,” Lavrov said.

These words come while the war in Ukraine continues and the Ukrainians have not succeeded in their counter-attacks against Russia. Two Western officials and an American military official told CNN a few days ago that the successes of Ukraine’s Patak against Russia were less than expected, and that the Russian army is showing capabilities that exceed the expectations of Western assessments.

One of the officials who spoke to CNN stated: “This site has not met expectations on any of the fronts.”

According to the evaluations made by the Western parties, Russia’s defense lines are strong, and this has made Ukrainian forces unable to penetrate it. In addition, the Russian forces have succeeded in destroying the armored equipment of the Ukrainians with missiles and mines and have used their air power effectively.

A Western official cited by CNN said that Ukrainian forces have proved “vulnerable” to minefields and that Russian forces have been “capable” in their defensive operations.

End of message.
