Earlier and in continuation of the European leaders’ policy of supporting Russia’s energy embargo at any cost, the German foreign minister said that Ukraine is his priority in any situation and it doesn’t matter what the Germans think or how hard their lives become. He said at a conference in Prague on Wednesday (August 31) that even if Germans come to the streets to protest because of high energy prices, Berlin should continue to support Ukraine by maintaining sanctions against Russia.

The senior German official stated: “We now face the winter when we will be challenged as democratic politicians.” People will go to the street and say that we cannot pay for our energy.
