Lebanese worry about stopping imports of Ukrainian goods



According to IRNA, Lebanon’s NBM reported today (Saturday) on the state of trade between the country and Ukraine from 2012 to 2020 and the impact of the war between Ukraine and Russia on trade between Kiev and Beirut, adding: Lebanon has hardly exported anything to Ukraine in recent years, but its exports to Lebanon have been about $ 354 million.

The Lebanese network added that the volume of Lebanese imports from Ukraine in 2020 amounted to 272 million dollars and the volume of Lebanese exports to Ukraine amounted to 950 thousand dollars.

Pointing out that wheat is the most prominent commodity imported from Ukraine in 2020, the report added: “Wheat imports from Ukraine with a volume of 511 thousand tons and a value of 119 million dollars ranked first, which is 44% of the value of Lebanese imports.” Gives.

Lebanon’s NBM cited crude oil, iron, beef, corn, stamps, barley, sugar, soy, sheep and peeled nuts as some of the most important materials and goods that the country imported from Ukraine in 2020.
