Lebanon: The maritime agreement will be preserved even with Netanyahu’s victory

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, Najib Mikati, the interim prime minister of Lebanon, confirmed today, Wednesday (November 2), that the agreement to determine maritime borders with the Zionist regime will continue even if Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of the Likud party, wins the elections.

According to the news siteRussia Elium“, Mikati said in this regard: America’s guarantees mean that Lebanon is not afraid of the possibility of canceling the maritime border demarcation agreement if Netanyahu wins the elections.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu threatened on Monday of this week (October 30) that he will cancel this agreement if he wins the elections. He described the Tel Aviv cabinet’s agreement with Beirut as “another capitulation agreement” and said: I will deal with it (the agreement) as I dealt with the Oslo agreement.

The latest results of the counting of votes in the electoral districts of the occupied territories this morning (Wednesday, November 2) show that the Likud party led by Netanyahu, the former prime minister of the Zionist regime, is leading in the Knesset elections.

The Israeli “I24” news site announced in a report that after the end of counting 62.4% of the votes until this Wednesday morning, the results show that Likud is at the top of the Knesset elections with 33 seats (+1).

In general, the obtained results indicate that allies and parties leaning towards Netanyahu’s coalition won 69 seats; While the opposite coalition, led by Yair Lapid, the current prime minister of the Tel Aviv cabinet, won a total of 47 seats.
