“Leila Brothers” goes to Munich

The film “Leila Brothers” will be screened at the Munich Film Festival, Germany, in its first international appearance after its screening at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Munich Film Festival in Germany will be screened.
The synopsis of “Leila Brothers” reads: At the age of 40, Leila has spent her entire life caring for her parents and four brothers. In a country facing international economic sanctions, families are constantly arguing and getting into debt. Leila, while her brothers are trying to make a living, plots to save them from poverty by starting a family business. . While they desperately need financial support, Leila discovers that their father, Ismail, has secretly hidden a family heritage. He has kept this legacy as a proposal to become the new patriarch of the tribe, the highest honor in the Iranian tradition. This causes chaos in a family that was already fragile. As the father’s health deteriorates, the actions of each member of the family gradually bring the family one step closer to an explosion.
Taraneh Alidosti, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Saeed Poursamimi, Farhad Aslani, Peyman Maadi, Mohammad Alimohammadi, Nayreh Mohammadi and Mehdi Hosseininia are the actors in this film and the French company “Wild Bunch” is in charge of the international part of this film.
The Munich Film Festival, which was held online in 2020 and in 2021 to reduce the number of films, mainly online, is being held in person for the first time since the beginning of the Corona epidemic with a full list of films.
The film will open this year with the screening of Marie Crutzer’s “Corsage” and several other Cannes films, including “Calm” directed by Albert Sara, “Eight Mountains” co-produced by Charlotte Vandermeier and Felix Fan. Groningen, the winner of the Cannes Jury Prize, and Hirokazu Korida, the new actor who won the Best Actor award, will be screened alongside Leila Brothers in the main competition.
The Munich International Film Festival will be held in Germany from June 23 to July 2 (July 2 to 11).
