Libyan Prime Minister: Tripoli conflicts were planned from inside and outside


According to the report of Fars International News Agency, Abdulhamid Al-Dabibah, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government of Libya, said on Saturday evening that Saturday’s clashes in Tripoli were planned from inside and outside this country.

By publishing a video message and pictures of his presence to inspect the situation in Tripoli after the clashes on Saturday, Al-Dabibah stated: “We wish mercy for the dead of the conflict in Tripoli and wish for recovery for the wounded.”

According to “Al Jazeera” website, he explained in this message: “Today’s attack on Tripoli was planned from inside and outside. We want elections and whoever wants to rule Libya with a coup and guns and fire, we will tell him that he is dreaming.”

Emphasizing that the only way to end the crisis in this country is elections, not war, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government of Libya added: “There are parties that do not want Libya and Tripoli to see peace and whatever happens is planned.”

According to this report, the Ministry of Health of Libya announced on Sunday morning that the number of dead in Tripoli conflicts has increased to 23 people and the number of injured has increased to 140 people.

It was on Saturday that Libyan sources reported an armed conflict between the forces affiliated with Fathi Pashagha, the prime minister appointed by the parliament to form the government, and the forces affiliated with al-Dabibah. (More details)
