Among the positive measures taken in the 13th government is a special look at the field of cultural heritage, a field that can be noted for its positive achievements. With the appointment of “Syed Ezzatullah Zarghami” in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, this area was able to get a new life and come out of desolation in a short period of time.

Zarghami is known as one of the media figures, a figure who was able to bring the cultural heritage with all its issues and problems from the margins and little attention to the center of attention by using the virtual space, and in his own words between all three areas or specialized areas, i.e. cultural heritage, tourism and balance handicrafts. Collaborating with veterans in the field of cultural heritage

At the beginning of his career, the Minister of Cultural Heritage has held specialized discussions with veterans in the field of cultural heritage and archeology experts, which continues on an ongoing basis. In these meetings, at the very beginning, 12 lasting faces of this field, including university professors, researchers, restorers of historical buildings, ancient and historical works of this field were honored. The purpose of holding this ceremony was to honor the veterans and create motivation for the activists in this area, compile the oral history of cultural heritage and take advantage of the capacities of human capital.

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage tried to draw the attention of the country’s cultural policymakers to the major problems of this field with a problem-solving approach. According to the minister, the issues are listed in 20 axes. Revision of the position of museum and museology is one of the new approaches in the plans of the 13th government, in a situation where “reservoir” is considered as an unfortunate phenomenon in the museums of the country and 90% of the registered objects of the country cannot be displayed, in the same period of the past 35 A new museum has been launched in the country.

Re-entry of foreign tourists

With the spread of general vaccination, the tourism industry has revived after a two-year stop due to the country’s corona situation, the first measure that was requested by the Iranian tourism community was the vaccination of hotel and tourism industry employees. Also, by developing and strengthening relations with neighboring countries, tourism with these countries and strategic partners was put on the agenda of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. In the first year of the activity of this ministry in the 13th government, during the foreign trips of the president and the minister of cultural heritage, 11 cooperation agreements were signed.

Although these two corona years were an unprecedented recession for Iran’s tourism industry, but according to the report of the World Travel and Tourism Council, Iran’s tourism industry has grown by 40% in the second half of 1400, and foreign tourists spent 2.5 billion dollars in Iran during this year. they spent While the world grew by 21.7% in these years.

In the past year, with the awarding of 525 National Authenticity Seals, the total number of works with this mark has reached 3,522. On the other hand, by receiving 38 international authenticity seals, a total of 84 fine works of Iranian handicrafts have been certified with this mark. In the past year, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage has changed its approach from basic research to applied studies and research, and 420 research projects, scientific articles and books have been published, and more than 1000 ancient sites have been licensed for exploration and documentation. Also, the prosperity of the business environment and employment by creating permanent, periodic and local handicraft markets, stimulating demand by designing a 10 million tomans credit card for handicrafts for government employees with the support of the Omid Entrepreneurship Fund in the amount of 320 billion tomans, and the revival and revitalization of twenty forgotten disciplines. Traditional arts, such as plush weaving, Bukhara embroidery, etc., are among the other activities of this ministry in the field of handicrafts.
