Linking Iranian clothing with handicrafts

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts’ Vice-Chancellor for Handicrafts and Traditional Arts and the Iranian Clothing and Textile Designers Association signed a memorandum of cooperation. Iranian clothing and textile designers signed a memorandum of cooperation in a meeting.
This memorandum was signed with the aim of developing joint educational and research cooperation in order to formulate and implement macro policies and use cultural and artistic capacities with the approach of attracting and directing capital towards the promotion of Iranian clothing heritage based on related fields of handicrafts.
Holding specialized meetings and events in order to develop entrepreneurship and commercialization in the field of Iranian clothing heritage and related handicrafts was one of the other issues raised in the direction of synergy between the two collections.
Emphasis was placed on holding specialized training workshops for handicrafts related to Iranian clothing and fabric with a focus on creative entrepreneurship for handicraft artisans in this meeting.
Also, cooperation and interaction regarding the three-step national event plan, focusing on the second and third steps, Iranian clothing design and commercialization of related handicrafts (traditional textiles, traditional embroidery, and traditional prints) were other important topics of this meeting.
This cooperation was also discussed in this meeting in order to provide a suitable space for holding exhibitions of the Clothing and Textile Designers Association, as well as introducing the best designs for obtaining bank facilities.
