“Lost Lament” was directed by Khosrow Sinaii in 1962 and tells the story of the lives of thousands of Poles who fled to Iran during World War II.
This film analyzes the story of the Polish emigration through the photographs left from that period (1320 and 1332) and in conversation with people who remember that period, one of the interviewees of “Lost Lament” is Anna Burkowska, who calls her brother He lost in the Siberian camps and after immigrating in Tehran, he married an Iranian man and stayed in this country forever. Sinaii has received a special award from the President of Poland for making this documentary.
Sinaii graduated in directing and screenwriting from the Academy of Dramatic Arts and music theory from the Vienna Conservatory. He started working in the Ministry of Culture and Arts in 1996 and in Iranian TV in 1999. He started his film career in 1358 by directing the film “Zende Bad…”. In addition to writing and directing, he has also composed music and edited some of his works. In 2004, Sinaii directed the short film “Farsh, Horse, Turkman” from Farsh Irani collection.
