Mahdavian: “Losing man” is not like “working wound”

According to the Fars news agency’s cinema correspondent, the press conference of the movie “Loser Man” with the presence of the film’s agents was held this evening (Monday, February 2) in Saadi Hall of the Milad Tower Conference Center in Tehran.
Before the official start of the meeting, the crowd and the small size of the hall caused a strong protest from the photographers.
Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, the director of the film, said at the beginning of his speech: “Due to the lack of grace and the limited number of seats, many actors in the film could not be present in the hall.”
In response to a question about the protesting characters in his films, he said: “The film has a limited world and I am not going to explain more about the characters outside the film.” I have not thought about having a second part yet.
Mahdavian said about his busy schedule: “I listen to comments and take the time to read reviews.” I try my best not to damage the work. I also get a lot of offers in cinemas and home theater networks that I can not think of and maybe I should make more of this film, but I can not.
Regarding the indifference to Iranian life in the film “Loser Man”, the director said: “Incidentally, this film is very much based on Iranian life.” We tell the story, and whether I say how close it is to the state of society should be left to the audience to decide whether or not to accept it.
Regarding the choice of Javad Ezzati, he said: “He can play any role and is an inimitable star that everyone wants to be in his film.” While we are friends and have fun.
In response to a question, Mahdavian said that this was not a question and that they had expressed their views. I respect this view, but I can not answer it.
Regarding the name of the film, he said: “This is not my personal judgment and the judgment of some people is against Ahmad (the first character of the film).”
Mahdavian explained that he was not worried about his film resembling previous works, especially “Wound of Work” – due to the presence of joint actors.
He added: “We wrote this film two years ago and rewrote it several times.”
Mahdavian also complained about the non-standard sound of Milad Tower Hall.
* The Loser Man is one of the best Mahdavian films
Javad Ezzati, the actor in the lead role of “Loser Man”, also said that he has nothing in mind about the role he would like to play, which has not been offered yet.
He added: “Each role has its own difficulties and just because a character is older, does not make the role more difficult.” From this point of view, it was a difficult role that had its own interior. Mr. Mahdavian has been cultivating this film in his head for about 2 years, and when they talked to me, I was surprised and did not know that I was going to play the film that I have talked about many times. It was gratifying that “The Loser Man” is one of the best films of Mr. Mahdavian.
Ezzati apologized for the lack of space and said that in my opinion, no director or actor is preferable to a journalist or a member of the media, and in my opinion, anyone who has a card can be present in the hall.
The actor said about his role: “I am very satisfied with the result and I will play the comedy and humor genre again if it happens.”
“I had a mysterious role and I loved it,” Anahita Dargahi said of her role in the film.
He added: “It was a very good experience and I really liked the sequence I played in the parking lot.”
Rana Azadivar, another actress in the movie “Loser Man”, said about her experience in this movie: “I enjoy working with Mr. Mahdavian and his group.”
Amir Banan, the producer of the film, also said: “We have been friends with Mr. Mahdavian for 22 years and we were also university students.”
Kamran Hejazi, another film producer, explained: “Our team has worked on about 6 projects together so far.” We produced the film The Loser Man in less than 2 months, which is the result of a coordinated group.
Hadi Behrooz, the cameraman of “The Loser Man” also said: “In a very short time, we made a film and I hope the uprising was not harmed and we will get good feedback from the audience.”
Babak Karimi Tari, the film’s set designer, said that they made up about 60% of the spaces and there was no exterior.
Majid Norouzi, one of the actors in the film, said: “I got to know Mr. Mahdavian’s cinema from ‘Standing in the Dust’ and I wanted to work with him, which was realized in ‘The Losing Man’.”
Actor Babak Karimi said that he would like to play with Mr. Ezzati. He sat under makeup for 4 to 5 hours a day, acting is not just in front of the camera and the red carpet.
