The Swiss jewelry company Chopard has prepared a new design for the Palme d’Or this year, the most important award of the Cannes Film Festival.

This year’s custom gold palm of the Cannes Film Festival, which has 19 gold leaves, is the result of 70 hours of work by six craftsmen, and 118 grams of 18-carat gold have been used in its construction.
The other Cannes Film Festival awards, including Best Actor and Best Actor, Grand Jury Prize, Best Director, Screenplay Award, Special Jury Prize, Golden Palm Short Film and Golden Camera, were all made at Chopard’s workshops in Geneva.
The 75th Cannes Film Festival will be held in person from May 17 to 28 (May 27 to June 7) and is expected to host 35,000 official guests.
