Making the use of banking facilities fairer in the 13th government according to statistics

According to Iran EconomistIn recent days, various reports from the Statistics Center were published, which showed that income distribution has become fairer in the last two years. Accordingly, the Gini coefficient decreased from 40.06% in 2009 to 38.77% in 1401, which indicates the reduction of the class gap and the reduction of the inequality of income distribution in the country.

In addition to the Gini index, the ratio of the expenditure of the 10th decile (10% of the richest households in the country) to the first decile (10% of the poorest households in the country) has also decreased in the 13th government. According to the statistics center, the ratio of the tenth decile to the first decile has decreased from 13.96 times in 2009 to 12.86 times in 1401. This index also clearly shows the reduction of the difference in spending between the richest and poorest households in the country.

Income distribution, of course, was not the only area that found a more equitable situation in the 13th government. The latest statistics of the Central Bank show that the benefits of the provinces in the 13th government have become more fair. According to the statistics of the Central Bank of the balance of the facilities of the provinces, the ratio of the balance of the facilities of “Tehran” as the most prosperous province to “Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad” as the least blessed with banking facilities has decreased significantly in the 13th government.

The new report of the central bank shows that the ratio of Tehran province’s facilities to Kohgiluyeh has decreased from 212 times in May 1400 to 148 times in August 1402. In other words, in August of this year, the balance of Tehran province’s facilities was 148 times the balance of Kohgiluyeh’s facilities, which compared to the ratio of 212 times in May 1400, shows the fairer use of banking facilities by the provinces in the 13th government.

It should be noted that considering the population of Tehran is about 20 times more than that of Kohgiluyeh, as well as the ratio of 20 times the gross domestic product of Tehran to that of Kohgiluyeh, it is obvious that the balance of facilities in Tehran is more than that of Kohgiluyeh, but none of these cases can exceed the gap. To justify the 200 times these two provinces in benefiting from bank facilities. As a result of the recent decrease in the ratio, it indicates that access to banking facilities has become fairer in the 13th government. The government’s effort to facilitate the granting of micro-loans and, on the other hand, to prevent the granting of large-scale loans, is one of the measures implemented by the 13th government to make the benefit of banking facilities more equitable for different sections of the country.
