Mali: I spoke with the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia and China about returning to the UN Security Council

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, Robert Mali, the US representative to Iran, announced in a Twitter message on Friday evening that he had a telephone conversation with the Russian and Chinese Deputy Foreign Ministers.
“I had a very constructive phone call this morning with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov,” he tweeted. “All three countries have a strong agreement on the need to return to full adherence to the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan.”
“We have been working together to achieve this (back to the BJP) by aligning our approaches as we move towards the seventh round of talks,” Robert Mali continued.
Robert Mali spoke of a “return to the IAEA” while Iran, unlike the United States, has not withdrawn from the nuclear deal. In May 1397, the US government, in violation of all its obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 2231, announced that it would withdraw from the nuclear deal.
One year after the US withdrawal from Borjam, Tehran announced that it would reduce its obligations under Borjam in a few steps, given that European countries had not fulfilled their promises. The reduction of Iran’s obligations took place under the provisions of the Borjam nuclear agreement.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, after taking 5 steps to reduce its commitments, finally announced on December 6, 2009 that it no longer faces any operational constraints (including enrichment capacity, enrichment percentage, amount of enriched materials, and research and development).
The first round of nuclear talks between Iran and the P4 + 1 group in the government of Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Ra’isi is scheduled to begin on December 28 in Vienna, focusing on efforts to lift anti-Iranian sanctions.
During the presidency of Hassan Rouhani, the former president of Iran, talks were held in Vienna, which ended without any concrete result due to the US insistence on not lifting all sanctions against Iran.
Another major obstacle in those negotiations was that the US government refused to provide any guarantees that it would not withdraw from the UN Security Council.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has stated that it will reverse any action taken in response to a breach of the Western Covenant in order to reduce its obligations only if Washington fulfills all its obligations in a verifiable manner. Tehran has said, of course, that there is no urgency or haste for the United States to return to Borjam.
End of message.
