Managing Director of Imran Tel: We are confident in the success of Vico in the Iranian market
Imran Tel Company intends to take a significant share of the Iranian mobile phone market by officially introducing the Vico brand. The company is currently launching the Vico T3 in the economical price range, and two other models, the Wico T10 and the Wico T50, will be on the market soon. Imran Tel plan is to occupy 10% of the Iranian mobile market by the end of 2023.
About two weeks after Imran Tel’s press conference to introduce the Vico brand, the company’s main event for the official unveiling of the Vico brand in Iran was held on July 27, 1401. Mehdi Asadi, CEO of Imran Tel, told Digiato during the event at the Spinas Palace Hotel in Tehran that the Wico T3 has been well received after the release of the press release:
“We did not have any plans to sell the phone until the official unveiling event, but after the first news about this brand was published in the media, we were met with more than expected expectations. “Vico definitely has a share of the Iranian mobile market, and according to research, we will reach a 10% share of this market by the end of 2023.”
According to Asadi, in response to Digito’s question, the company has sold nearly 4,000 mobile phones in Tehran and other cities in the past two weeks. Of these, nearly 1,000 handsets have been activated on the network.
The Wico T3, which is currently priced at around 3.7 million tomans, is very similar to two models of Huawei products, especially the nova Y60. In response to Digito’s question about the relationship between Vico and Huawei, the CEO of Imran Tel says:
Wico and Huawei headquarter is a joint venture in China, and the two companies work closely together. Wico products are currently sold in Huawei brand stores, and Huawei also has extensive marketing cooperation with Wico.
Imran Tel announced in a previous press conference that in the near future, the company’s flagships will enter the Iranian market. Considering that Wico has not produced any flagship phones at the moment, we asked Asadi about this. In response to Digito, the CEO of Imran Tel said:
“Vico’s flagship phone is currently in the final design and pricing phase and will enter the production cycle soon. This phone will be launched in the first or second quarter of 2023. “The T3 is currently on the market, and the T10 and T50 will enter the Iranian market in the coming weeks.”
