Manouchehr Mohammadi’s reaction to the unofficial seizure of his film

Following the margins for the film “Left, Right”, the producer of this film wrote a sharp letter to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Theater News Base: “Left, Right” directed by Hamed Mohammadi is a political comedy that applied to participate in the 30th Fajr Film Festival last year after completing its technical steps, but due to the audits of the Screening Council, it was not allowed to participate in the festival. It was the fringe of the festival. Eventually, however, the film was licensed, and “Left, Right” was one of the films most often screened during the recession in Corona, until the release date was set for December 1st, according to the Screening Guild Council.
But today, December 19th, Mohammad Reza Faraji, director general of the Cinema Organization’s Office of Film Supervision and Screening, officially announced that the film “Left, Right” needed to be modified for public screening. No reforms have been made since then.
Now, following these events and the cancellation of the screening of “Left, Right” from the first of December, Manouchehr Mohammadi – the producer of this film – has reacted to this incident in a sharp letter to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
The letter reads, “I, Manouchehr Mohammadi, with a specific record in Iranian cinema, declare that despite having a valid screening license for the film” Left, Right “from the ministry under your command, it has been two weeks except … and forgeries for “I have not seen anything to prevent the screening of this film and there is credible evidence to support this claim.”
Mohammadi also wrote in his letter: “My colleagues and I do not imagine this kind of management except for the bitter and sad days for Iranian cinema.”
“I’m not afraid to pay,” the filmmaker stressed in his dissertation. “I hope you, who have opened the door to a hot tongue and flag with the people of culture, are ready to pay.”
