Marandi: Europeans and Americans failed to impose their demands on Iran

According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, “Mohammed Marandi”, the adviser of the Iranian negotiating team, said that progress has been made, but caution should be taken.

Marandi said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen network that overall progress has been made in the negotiations, but some issues still need to be resolved.

Referring to America’s reneging on agreements throughout history, he added: America should make decisions that will resolve Iran’s concerns.

The advisor of Iran’s negotiating team stated that it is important for Iran to see the progress and as long as the progress continues, the negotiations will continue and what is important for us is to reach a fair agreement.

He emphasized: I don’t know if we will reach an agreement or not and the chance of reaching an agreement is 50%.

Marandi also said that we have heard from some European sources that the Americans have reconsidered some issues related to the agreement.

He said that the Europeans and the Americans failed to impose their demands and decisions on Iran regarding the nuclear agreement and the issue of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was not a condition in the negotiations, but the western media exaggerated it.

Marandi clarified that all of Iran’s demands were within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and there was nothing outside of it, and what remains are the differences between Iran and America over some issues and there is no difference between Iran and the Europeans and Russia.
