Marivan has high capacities in the field of tourism/infrastructure needs to be strengthened

Fortunately, during this year’s Nowruz holidays and Eid al-Fitr, more than one million domestic and foreign travelers and tourists visited the attractions of Marivan.
The Governor of Marivan added: We believe that the city of Marivan has the talent and capacity to welcome more guests and tourists.
He said: During Arbaeen last year, 76,300 people crossed the Bashmaq-Marivan border, and we hope this year this number will reach over 300,000 people.
Ahmadi stated that Marivan is one of the country’s tourism hubs in the field of religious, cultural, sports tourism, etc., and reminded: If we want tourism to flourish as a comparative advantage of Marivan and a sustainable income and a strategic issue, the issue of infrastructure should be more than be noted in advance
The governor of Marivan stated: We are seeking to reach ideal numbers in terms of the quantity of tourist acceptance and the variety of different topics and areas of tourism that can attract different people.
At the end of his speech, he mentioned the organization of Zarivar Lake as one of the important issues in this city and said: It is hoped that with the cooperation and interaction between the executive bodies and using all the facilities and capacities, we will be able to take strong steps towards the development of tourism and the economic prosperity of the region.
