He thanked the Islamic Consultative Assembly for approving the housing production leap plan and continued: “There are very good phrases in this plan that I hope this plan will lead to people becoming homeowners.”
The need to establish a national housing fund
A member of the Civil Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, referring to the holding of the first meeting of the Supreme Housing Council, said: “We expect the members of the Supreme Housing Council to have an effective and decisive presence in the services needed to produce millions of housing; Unfortunately, the former Minister of Roads and Urban Development disrupted the whole movement, and the housing that we were supposed to deliver in two to three years has not been delivered for 15 to 20 years.
Iqbal Shakeri reminded: the National Housing Fund should be formed three months after the promulgation of the law, which is one month after this, this schedule is very important and if this schedule is broken, all obligations will be questioned.
Concluding housing construction contracts with construction companies

A member of the Civil Commission of the Majles stated: All agencies, the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture and even the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, were obliged to provide their lands within the city limits for the construction of housing; It is even out of bounds for town planning, and for the first time we enacted a law for those who disregarded this order; For banks that do not pay their share, the Tax Administration will fine them 20% of the amount they did not pay, and for devices that do not deliver the land, the issue of dismissal is also provided for individuals.
Shakeri added: “This year, a construction contract will be signed with construction equipment as well as eligible households.”
