Master Haj Mehdi Malek Hosseini, the oldest poet of Katool, died


According to the Aria Heritage Report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Golestan, Massoud Ziarati announced this news on Saturday, December 18, 1400: “The anniversary of the community mourned the cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts.”

The Public Relations Officer of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Golestan noted: “The late Haj Mehdi Malek Hosseini, a pioneer in the field of art in Golestan province, It was registered in 1397 in the list of bearers of intangible heritage of the country. “The absence of such an artist is an unfortunate loss for the artistic community of Golestan province, especially for those who are interested in the music of the Catholicos, and I ask God Almighty for patience and forbearance for his honorable family.”

Professor Haj Mehdi Malek Hosseini was born in 1306 AH in the city of Aliabadaktol, Al-Azman village. His father, King Akbar, was a niwi. Haj Mehdi grew up in a family whose inhabitants had a hand in music. Over time, he became interested in verse reading, and at the age of 15 he became seriously interested in this art until he became a master. The master was fully acquainted with the authorities of Katoul’s vocal music and stories related to poems and couplets, and was fluent in reading Katoul’s couplets.

Master Malek Hosseini was known as the oldest poet of Katul. By working and observing the principles of music in the field of vocation, the master was able to protect and preserve this valuable art, which is one of the identity symbols of the Catholics, and keep it alive to this day.
