Media cooperation between Iran and Russia is mandatory

According to Fars news agency, Ahmad Nowrozi met and talked with Vasiliy Pushkov, director of international cooperation of Sputnik news agency (Segovia, Russia) along with Ivan Zakharov, head of Middle East and Near East countries department of media group (Russia, Segovia).
In this meeting, he pointed out the importance of media exchanges and close and effective cooperation in the perspective of international media, and emphasized the need to create a common front against Western media and NATO and strengthen these relations as much as possible.
Referring to the necessity of these cooperations, Sedavasima’s vice president of foreign affairs said: This meeting is another pleasant step that brings Russia and Tehran closer to each other culturally.
He clarified: If media cooperation between the two countries was important, today it has become mandatory and both sides need media exchanges that protect the interests of both sides.
Nowrozi called the media restrictions in Russia after the Ukraine war a familiar incident and said: We have been used to these conditions for years and the media restrictions that have been imposed on the national media in the international space for years have now happened to you and you also during the war with Ukraine You suffer severe limitations.
He considered the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the media space as one of the ways out of these limitations and emphasized: We have reached a proper monitoring structure in the overseas deputy regarding the image we have of the world around us, the output of which is along the official policies of the republic. Iran is Islamic towards Russia.
The Deputy Foreign Minister considered it necessary to present a clear picture of the recent conflicts and unrest in Iran in line with the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated: “Both sides have a heavy responsibility and we must be more careful in publishing the news of today’s events in Iran.”
Referring to NATO’s aggressive atmosphere in Russia’s territory, Nowrozi said: We cannot close our eyes to this incident and from the beginning we followed this atmosphere with an impartial view and we hope that you will be successful in presenting a clear picture of what is taking place in your media space.
Wishing to present an independent image away from the biases of Western countries and NATO, he said: We are determined in our media path to be hostile to America and NATO because they present an upside-down image of Iran and Russia in the world.
Emphasizing the creation of a common understanding of each other, the deputy foreign minister said: Iran and Russia have taken a long path of media cooperation, and the restrictions imposed on both of us in the media space, such as the disconnection of satellites and the lack of access to social networks, have pushed us towards cooperation. Mutual has led to solve these limitations.
Referring to the efforts of the rulers of media regulation in the world for media sovereignty and dominance, Nowrozi added: “To deal with this dominance, we must turn to common platforms and social networks, and move the regulation to independent countries away from NATO’s media regulation.”

Vasily Pushkov, director of international cooperation of the Russian Sputnik news agency, also welcomed the media cooperation of this news agency with the Sedavasima organization and said: I am happy with the commonality between Iran and Russia and I hope that this meeting will create a new atmosphere in media cooperation.
He stated: We are now in a similar situation of media boycott and we hope to overcome this situation properly with your company.
Referring to the reopening of this news agency’s office in Iran, he added: One of our most important tasks is to open the office of this news agency in Iran, which will lead to the stabilization of relations between Iran and Russia.
The director of international cooperation of the Russian “Sputnik” news agency, referring to his interest in media presence in Iran, said: “Our journalists have taken a step towards media interaction with Iran by mastering the Persian language, and we hope to increase our knowledge in this interactive environment as a news agency.” .
Referring to his recent visits to various departments of the Broadcasting Organization, Pushkov considered it a good opportunity to form a correct picture of Iran’s media environment and to be effective in the upcoming media interactions.
At the end of this meeting, in the framework of cooperation, the parties emphasized to implement the projects related to the expansion of the news space, promotion and targeted awareness in mass communication media on various issues, strengthening media relations, mutual understanding and bringing the people of the two countries closer together.
The visit to the overseas deputy networks of Press TV, Hispan TV, Alam and Iran Press news agency was one of the most important parts of the visit of this Russian delegation to the national media.
