Mediatek unveiled the powerful Dimension 9200 Plus chipset

Last year, MediaTek unveiled its latest flagship chip, the Dimension 9200, which powers devices like the Vivo X90 Pro. Now the company has a new chip Dimension 9200 Plus It has revealed that it has higher CPU and GPU clock speeds than the original version, and the first devices equipped with it will be available later this month.
Specifications of Dimension 9200 Plus
The specifications and cores of the Dimension 9200 Plus are basically the same as last year’s chipset, but MediaTek Speed it up. The chipset’s large Cortex-X3 core is now clocked at 3.35GHz (up from 3.05GHz), and its medium Cortex-A715 cores are clocked at 3GHz (up from 2.85GHz). The Cortex-A510 cores of the new chipset remain unchanged and are still clocked at 1.8 GHz.
The 3.35 GHz Cortex-X3 core speed of this chipset is almost identical to the 3.36 GHz maximum speed of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for the Galaxy; Therefore, the new chipset can be considered as a competitor to the Qualcomm chip.
Mediatek, which said about the Dimensity 9200 that its graphics performance has improved by 32% compared to its previous generation, now claims about the Dimensity 9200 Plus GPU that its performance has increased by 17%. The new chipset still uses the Immortalis-G715 GPU, which also supports ray tracing.
Other specifications of this chipset are standard like Dimensity 9200; Therefore, Dimension 9200 Plus is equipped with an M80-based modem with mmWave 5G support, a 6th generation APU, a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz in Full HD Plus resolution, the ability to record 8K videos, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 7.
Dimension 8050

MediaTek also from another new chipset titled Dimension 8050 has also unveiled that it is made based on TSMC’s 6nm process. The cores of this processor have four fast Cortex-A78 cores and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores, whose Cortex-A78 units include a Super Core with a maximum speed of 3 GHz and three cores with a maximum performance of 2.6 GHz.
The graphics processor of this chipset is also Arm Mali-G77 with 9 cores, which made the Dimensity 8050 support 4K video recording, a maximum display resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels with a maximum refresh rate of 168 Hz.
