Meeting of the Hungarian Ambassador to Iran with the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage
“During the recent visit of the Hungarian Foreign Minister to Iran, an agreement was reached between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country and Hungary,” Ali Darabi, Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, told Heritage Aria. “He expected cultural, social and economic activities to develop.”

The Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage added: “We welcome the cooperation that develops cultural, political, social and economic relations and agree to implement a joint cultural project between the two countries, which includes the installation of glass inscriptions of Hungarian poet’s poems about Hafez in Shiraz.” . “Also, with the preparations for its installation in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, we will soon see the installation of this glass inscription.”
“We are trying to increase the level of tourism cooperation between Iran and Hungary and see the presence of different tourists,” Darabi continued.
“We have deep political, cultural and economic relations with Iran and we want to implement a joint project,” said Hungarian Ambassador to Iran Zoltan Varga Hasunic. “This project is purely cultural and shows the depth of cultural relations between the two countries.”
The Hungarian ambassador to Iran said about the joint project to be implemented with Iran: “We have a poet named Weitz Mihan Chekonai from the early 19th century who wrote Hafez’s poems and wrote a poem about this famous Iranian poet which has been translated into Persian. . “These poems are written on a glass inscription to be installed in Hafez’s tomb with the consent of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, so that Hafez lovers can know how much this poet is revered in Hungary.”
He continued: “These poems are one of the few Hungarian poems that have been translated directly from Hungarian into Persian and show that Hafez’s poems are respected in Hungary.”
Zoltan Varga Hasunic stated: “This Hungarian poet wrote a book entitled 50 lyric poems and also included poems by Hafez in this book, which was also published in Persian. “This book has literary value for the Hungarian people.”
He added: “There are most of Hafez’s works in the city of Patch, which is sister to the city of Shiraz.”
