Member of Parliament: Rial will solve the problem of counterfeit money in the market

Gholamreza Marhaba, the spokesperson of the Economic Committee of the Majlis, has recently said that with the launch of the Rial project, Iran’s national digital currency, the problem of fake Rials in the market will be solved, and less physical money will be printed and the government’s expenses will be reduced.

Rial is the same as digital Rial and the rules and conditions of its use and operation will be announced by the central bank and naturally it will be usable through systems and people will no longer face the problems of physical money.

The spokesperson of the Economic Commission of the Parliament added:

Currently, there is no international credit card in the country, and bank cards also use bank deposits; But in the case of Riyal, the same Riyal that you have becomes digital in nature.

Marhaba stated that it is easier and safer to use Rial currency and said:

An example of the advantages of Rial Rial is that with the introduction of Rial Rial, the problem of counterfeit Rials in the market will be solved and there will no longer be an incentive to produce fake Rials. Another advantage of the Rial code is that we will not have problems related to the treasury and transportation and transfer of physical money.

He emphasized:

It is not necessary for all people to use Rial Rial, and we are not talking about Rial Rial for small transfers and transactions, but we are talking about macro accounting and banking in the macro economy. Large and significant figures are being transferred between devices or between banks, which will be much easier with the Riyal currency, and less physical money will be printed with the Riyal currency, reducing government costs.
