“Metropole Cinema” will get a screening license?

Charso Press: “Cinema Metropole” is the latest work of Mohammad Ali Basheh Ahangar, whose story goes back to a period of the imposed war and a group that tries to reactivate an old cinema.
This film was unveiled at last year’s Fajr Festival and was nominated for the Simorgh Award in 13 categories and won the best film, best director and best cinematography awards. The amendments have been reduced to less than 10.
Hamed Hosseini – the producer of the film explained about the latest situation of this film: “Metropole Cinema” is ready for release, but they announced to us some amendments that we must discuss because some of them can affect the film and harm it.
He added: Considering our opposition to the implementation of these amendments, we emphasized that there should be a discussion about them, and after the meetings we had with the head of the cinema organization (Mohammed Khazaei) and the director general of the organization’s supply and screening supervision, there was a good interaction. One person was appointed to represent the Screening Licensing Council to present our defense and explanation of the film and the corrections.
Pointing out that this meeting has not been held yet, he said: We hope to reach a common point of view with the Screening License Council as soon as possible because no filmmaker wants his film to remain unscreened and we are trying to release the film with quality.
Mojtabi Pirzadeh, Noushin Masoudian, Homan Barknoord, Paryush Tejari, Hossein Bashe Ahangar, Reza Kianian and Mehtab Nasirpour are among the actors of this movie.
