Microsoft is finally going for a foldable display for the Surface Duo 3

Although Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2 use the same design as folding phones and provide users with a large screen, we are not actually facing a folding phone and Redmondi has used two screens next to each other. Now it seems that finally in the next generation, ie Surface Duo 3Microsoft is moving towards a true folding display.
There are many foldable phones in the market; From Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series to Vivo X Fold. Now, apparently, after a year of prototyping and testing, Microsoft wants to go for a design style similar to the Vivo X Fold phones.
The time of introduction of Surface Duo 3 is not known
according to A new report, the Surface Duo 3 was supposed to launch in late 2023 with dual displays, support for wireless charging, and other design changes. But Microsoft has apparently ditched the previous design entirely to work on a new design with a truly foldable display. Therefore, this product may not arrive at the end of this year, and of course its specifications may change.
Surface Duo 3 Like many current foldable phones, it will likely be equipped with a foldable inner display and a normal outer display; Similar to other foldable phones in the market like Vivo X Fold.
While previous reports had mentioned the 360-degree hinge of the next generation Surface Duo, the new report denies this and points to the use of a 180-degree hinge.
Today’s report also claims that Microsoft wants to differentiate its upcoming Android products from the competition by creating an ecosystem between Android and Windows PCs; Just like iPhones and Macs.
Finally, Redmondi seems to want to increase the number of their Android phones and not limit themselves to the Surface Duo family. Therefore, Microsoft is considering different form factors or designs for its future products.
