Minister of Guidance: The works of able-bodied artists will be exhibited abroad

According to Fars News Agency, Mohammad Mehdi Ismaili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said at the opening ceremony of the second Hammam Festival (the only specialized festival for the able-bodied) referring to the capacity and ability of participants in the second festival: The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is ready To support talented artists in the community in various fields of art.
He also announced the planning of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to set up exhibitions of works by talented artists abroad and said: “We plan to use the capacity of these artists to introduce their works in exhibitions abroad and hold exhibitions of their works.”

Mohammad Reza Mashhadi, Secretary General of the Second National-Art Festival of Hammam, said at the opening ceremony of the festival: “By holding an exhibition of visual and handicrafts of talented artists, we realized the very brilliant capacity of these artists across the country and decided to hold the first festival of Homam two years ago.” Given the strong potential we saw in Tavaniaban, the organizing committee and the policy council decided to hold the festival biennially so that Tavaniaban artists could plan for the next two years and have ample opportunity to present their work.
He added: “In the last two years, when the first round of the Hmmam Festival was held, a large number of talented artists were identified and introduced to the art community.” These artists were in contact with festival organizers, judges, and other artists, and were invited to create works at various events. This reciprocal relationship between the organizers of cultural and artistic events and the able-bodied artists had a significant impact on the growth and introduction of the able-bodied artists.

Regarding the number of people who have participated in the Hammam Festival this year, Mashhadi announced: Through the database of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Provinces, Imam Reza (AS) Welfare and Charity Organization, the festival invitation was sent to all the able-bodied. The call was also announced through the mass media, and the Hammam Secretariat received a total of 3,000 works, including 33 works of music, and the rest in various sections of visual arts and handicrafts.
The secretary general of the second national-artistic festival of Humam said: after three judging stages, 240 works were selected for display in the exhibition. A number of works also made their way to the product supply store and will be on sale.

Regarding the time of the festival, he said: “This exhibition will be held until March 31 in the Saba Cultural and Artistic Complex of the Academy of Arts, located on Valiasr St., Taleghani Crossroads.” Eight workshops will be held during the festival to enhance the artistic ability of the able-bodied, and all those whose works have made it to the exhibition section will be stationed in Tehran with a companion, whose living expenses will be borne by the festival.
In the end, Mashhadi said: It is predicted that an exhibition of selected works will be held in coordination with the Islamic Communication Organization in Germany, France and Japan. The three selected works or the artists of the top three works will also be sent to international art exhibitions.
