Minister Samat sent the second-hand car import bill to the government

According to Fars News Agency, Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, in a letter to Mohammad Mokhbar, the First Vice President, sent the “Draft of the two-urgency bill for the import of used cars and amendment of the approval of car imports” to the government.
In the letter of Minister Samat addressed to Mohammad Mokhbar, the first vice president, which was presented today, April 29, 1402, it is stated:
Considering the high demand for cars in the country and the need to regulate the market of this product, which has been playing the role of capital goods for some time, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has planned and laid the groundwork for increasing production, completing previously incomplete cars and increasing supply to the market. And fortunately, during the year 1401, more than 1,340,000 cars have been fully produced and put on the market with an increase of 39%.
However, this amount of domestic production and supply does not meet the needs of the market in the current situation, and it is necessary to diversify the import of cars, the import conditions (whether new or used) should also be eased and the existing legal restrictions should be removed.
Therefore, the draft of the urgent bill for the import of used cars and the draft of the amendment of the car import decree (the subject of the decree number 95240 dated 1401.6.3 of the Council of Ministers) are submitted in order to diversify and increase the import of new cars to go through the legal process.
