Minnesota’s Muslim state representative wins intra-party race

According to IRNA, the CNN website predicted a few minutes ago that “Ilhan Omar”, the current representative of the fifth electoral district of the state of Minnesota, has entered the midterm competition.
According to the statistics published on RealClearPolitics website, by counting 99% of the votes obtained in the internal elections of the Democratic Party, Omar was able to win 50.3% of the votes and with a difference of more than 2 thousand votes from Don Samuel. Rowe and the former member of the Minneapolis City Council and with 48.2 percent of the votes.
According to CNN, the slight difference between Omar and Samuel can encourage the critics of this leftist representative to challenge him in two years.
Unlike Omar, Samuel supported the police and was a critic of the “police budget cancellation” policy.
The 2022 American elections will be held on November 17 this year to select 435 members of parliament, 35 senators, 39 governors and a large number of local and state officials across the country.
The average of the latest findings of election polls shows that the distance between Republicans and Democrats has decreased a lot and public opinion supports Republicans with a difference of only 0.1%.
Currently, the Democrats have 220 seats and the Republicans have 210 seats out of a total of 435 seats in the House of Representatives. In order to win the majority of the parliament, the Republicans must achieve a quorum of 218 seats in this fall’s elections.
