According to Fars, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the ten largest art collections in the world. In the years of the opening of the Museum of Contemporary Art, about 40 million dollars of valuable works of world art have been purchased for it. A treasure whose price today is estimated at 5 to 10 billion dollars.
More than 1500 works of art from the most prominent works of art in the world are stored in this museum. Masterpieces of contemporary and modern artists (Picasso, Braque, Monet, Manat, Degas, Cicely, Pissarro, Renora, Ernest, Henry Moore, Giacomotti, Dubuffet, Chalida, Gauguin, René Magritte, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Juan Miró, Francis Bacon , Valerio Adami, Andy Warhol and… and hundreds of great artists of modernism and postmodernism).
This museum is very popular among the art community and many art lovers follow its activities and are sensitive to its fate.

In simple language, Tehran’s contemporary art treasure is now worth billions of dollars, the most expensive of which is one of Jackson Pollock’s works, one of the pioneers of abstract expressionism.

A look at the history of the museum shows that during all these years, art audiences and artists have always been sensitive to the news of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and have reacted to it. It can be said that among the institutions and cultural spaces of the country, there is no place that can be compared to the museum. Perhaps this is the feature that makes the museum different from other cultural and artistic institutions.
The Museum of Contemporary Arts is one of the few art centers that is carefully followed by people of culture and art, and its events can have a great impact on the art field of the country, therefore, it seems that the most important point in museum management is expert knowledge of its symbolic status and importance. which should be considered in choosing a new manager.
This museum operates under the visual arts center of the artistic vice-chancellor of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and now Mohammad Khorasanizadeh is in charge of both the museum and the management of the visual arts center.
