Moral principles in the social life of the Prophet (PBUH); The needs of today’s society

According to the report of Arya Heritage, Rasul Chegini, a researcher of the International Imamate Foundation, regarding the necessity of showing the social ethics of the Prophet (PBUH) in the society, said: We must pay attention to the fact that according to the famous narrative that has been narrated by the public and the private, one of the goals of the Prophet’s mission was (pbuh), the completion of moral actions has been: “Inma bu’a’tto la uttam’mma makaram al-akhlaq” or in another quote “Inma bu’a’tto la ottam’mma saleh al-akhlaq”; That is, the purpose of the mission was to perfect morals; Therefore, ethics has a great contribution to the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH).
This religious expert stated that the source of the morals of the Messenger of God (PBUH) is the Holy Quran, and said: In a narration, the wife of the Prophet (PBUH) was asked what the morals of the Messenger of God (PBUH) were like. He replied: “Kan Khulqa Al-Qur’an”; (The ethics of the Prophet was the Qur’an).
He added: The compatibility of the ethics of the Prophet (PBUH) with the Qur’an is important because the Qur’an is a school of manners and ethics. The Messenger of God (PBUH) said about the Qur’an: “This is the Qur’an, the teaching of Allah, so teach me what I can do.” (This Quran is God’s school of literature, so learn as much as you can from this school of literature).
Chegini emphasized: “Looking at the life of the Prophet (PBUH), we see many examples of Islamic and Quranic ethics that need to be introduced as a good model for today’s societies.”
The morals of the Prophet (PBUH) are with his intellectual and behavioral opponents
He stated that considering that the moral dimensions of the Prophet (pbuh) are very wide, we are only referring to a corner of these Quranic behaviors that may be more useful for our society today, he added: How the Messenger of God (pbuh) behaved differently, it is very important for us to know how to behave with our opponents and people who are not like us.
Forgiveness and generosity
Chegini clarified: Forgiveness was one of the most important approaches of the Prophet (PBUH) in facing the opposition. Because the Prophet was thinking of promoting monotheism and monotheism, he did not apply any personal love or hatred in this direction, and he easily forgave his opponents and even enemies in order to achieve the lofty goals of the Qur’an.
He further said: This behavior of His Holiness is also derived from the teachings of the Qur’an. When Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) endured many hardships and separated from his parents, when his brothers came to him, he said: “Do not be angry with me this day, may God forgive you, and He is the Merciful of the Merciful.” (There is no blame or rebuke on you today! God will forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful.) That is, whatever you did to me, I forgave everything and God will also forgive you, so easily he got over all the enmities of his brothers.
Regarding the example of the behavior of the Messenger of God (PBUH) with their enemies, Chegini stated: When they conquered Mecca in the eighth year of Hijri and stood in front of the Kaaba, they gave a speech; The polytheists were worried that the Prophet (pbuh) would prosecute them in retaliation for these years, because both when the Prophet (pbuh) was in Mecca, the polytheists harassed the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and the Muslims a lot, and also when the Prophet (pbuh) went to Madinah. They left, many wars such as Badr, Uhud and Khandaq were fought between Muslims and polytheists and many people were killed and martyred.
He continued: The Quraysh polytheists knew about this black record of theirs and they knew that the Arabs were even ready to wage wars of attrition for the sake of killing one person. ; The Messenger of God (PBUH) asked them: O people of Quraish, what do you think I will decide about you? The polytheists, who had already heard a lot about the good manners of the Prophet (PBUH), said: You are making a good decision, O merciful brother! In response, the Messenger of God (PBUH) said to the idolaters the same words that Hazrat Yusuf (PBUH) said to his brothers: “La Tathrib Alaykum Alayum, Azhbawa Fnttam al-Talqa”; (I will not blame you anymore; go, you are all freed.), this kind behavior of the Prophet (PBUH) caused most of the polytheists of that period to convert to Islam and the spread of Islam became more intense throughout the regions of the Arabian Peninsula.
