Moscow: If the sanctions are lifted, Iran is ready to return to the JCPOA implementation

According to Fars News Agency International Group, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov today (Thursday) while expressing Moscow’s readiness to implement the JCPOA if it is revived, stated that Iran has announced that it is ready to return to the implementation of the nuclear agreement as soon as the sanctions are lifted. .
The Russian news agency “Tass” reported that Ryabkov, in response to a question related to the upcoming visit of the President of the United States of America to the West Asian region, Ryabkov said that he will also mention the nuclear issue of Iran during this visit.
In this regard, Lavrov’s deputy stated: “I think that Iran’s nuclear program and all things related to it will definitely be on his agenda, and security issues in the Persian Gulf region will also be discussed.”
At the same time, he expressed doubts about Washington’s readiness to admit that the United States has not changed the path of maximum pressure against Iran, and continued that Tehran has declared its readiness to fully implement the nuclear agreement.
In this regard, Ryabkov said: “To what extent is the American government willing to admit that it has not yet abandoned what it inherited from the Trump administration, which is called maximum pressure against Iran, and towards full compliance with the provisions of Council Resolution 2231 UN Security has not moved. I do not intend to judge”.
Ryabkov further emphasized the necessity of implementing the JCPOA and said that after the revival of the nuclear deal, Russia is determined to play its part in the process of revitalizing the JCPOA.
In this regard, he explained: “Russia, for its part, is determined to play its part in the JCPOA implementation process after reviving this agreement in the form of its initial parameters.”
He stated that Russia has certain aspects of JCPOA implementation in the back of its mind, which Ryabkov assured that he would be ready to return to it.
