Moscow: Iran has not slowed down the Vienna talks – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news conference on Thursday that Moscow saw no evidence that Iran was slowing down the UN Security Council in Vienna, Mehr news agency reported quoting Sputnik.

“We are witnessing the will and approach of the negotiators in Vienna to reach an immediate result,” he said. We have heard comments that Iran has slowed down the negotiation process. We do not have such an assessment of the situation. We do not see any reason to say that Iran has slowed down this process. This is not in Iran’s interests; Something that Tehran has stated many times.

Zakharova added that Washington should take practical steps to confirm and reiterate its repeated promises to return to the Security Council.

The third round of talks on lifting sanctions (according to Westerners, the eighth round) in the Austrian capital Vienna on Monday evening, January 26, with a meeting of the Joint Commission chaired by Ali Bagheri, Senior Negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran and “Enrique Moo” Deputy Foreign Minister Europe began.

The meeting also discussed how to continue the talks.
