Moscow: Ukraine is playing with fire about the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant

According to Fars International News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia published a statement on Monday about the current situation at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
“Kiev continues to play with fire and brazen and irresponsible actions have been committed against the Zaporozhian nuclear power plant,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The statement emphasized: “The international community must know who is behind the new attacks against the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. “Russia has provided all the information to the International Atomic Energy Agency.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant was moving on a critical line that could lead to a disaster.
It was yesterday that IAEA Director General Raphael Grossi said that IAEA inspectors reported at least 12 powerful explosions at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.
The director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency added: “The explosions near the plant, which is Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, appeared to be the result of mortar fire that ended a period of relative calm at the plant.”
The International Atomic Energy Agency announced that the accident did not cause any damage to the plant, but reports indicate that a number of buildings, systems and equipment were damaged at the site, but none of them were critical to the safety and security of the plant.
Grossi continued: “The reports from our team yesterday and this morning are very disturbing. “The explosions that happened in this big nuclear power plant are completely unacceptable.”
“Whoever is behind this incident must stop it immediately,” the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency said without referring to Ukraine or Russia. As I have said many times before, you are playing with fire.
The Zaporizhia power plant has been under the control of Russian forces since March, but is run by Ukrainian workers. This power plant was recently targeted by numerous artillery and rocket attacks, which Moscow and Kiev blamed each other for.
The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is considered the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and is not far from the front line of the conflicts in Ukraine, has a capacity of 6,000 megawatts and supplies about a quarter of Ukraine’s electricity needs.
