Mousavi’s explanation about Manouchehr Mohammadi’s candidacy in the House of Cinema elections
The head of Cinema Producers Union announced in a letter to the Chairman of Cinema House Board of Directors that Manouchehr Mohammadi was introduced as a candidate for the Cinema House Board of Directors in the meeting of the General Assembly of the Union and that the nomination of the candidate to participate in the selection of the Cinema House Board of Directors is the responsibility of the guilds’ board of directors and not Public assemblies.
Charso Press: On the eve of the General Assembly of Cinema House, which was supposed to be held an hour earlier on Sunday evening, August 2, there were concerns about the introduction of the representative of the producer union. Of course, in the end, the General Assembly and the holding of the elections of the Board of Directors of the Cinema House – according to the prolongation of the administrative and legal processes to hold the General Assembly of the Cinema House in accordance with the legal regulations of holding the assemblies, centers and cultural associations – were canceled and postponed to another time.
However, Gholamreza Mousavi – the head of the Producers’ Union – in a letter addressed to Mohammad Ali Najafi – the head of the Board of Directors of Cinema House – has given explanations about the selection of the representative of this union (Manochehar Mohammadi) to participate in the elections of the Board of Directors.
In the parts of this letter that ISNA refers to parts of it, it is stated:
“Returning to the letter dated July 28 of that gentleman and the attached letter (the letter of the producers’ trade union) is informed:
1- The introduction of the candidate to participate in the election of the board of directors of the cinema house is the responsibility of the board of directors of the guilds and not the general assemblies.
2- The election of Mr. Manouchehr Mohammadi by unanimous vote in the meeting on July 20, 1401, which was held with the presence of seven main members of the board of directors (Ms. Manijeh Hekmat and Mr. Abolhassan Davodi, Seyed Jamal Sadatian, Seyed Gholamreza Mousavi, Manouchehr Shahsawari, Ali Ashtianipour and Mohammad Ahmadi) It happened.
3- Based on the approvals of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council (Union), which has been approved by 9 members of the Board of Directors consisting of four organizations of the Supreme Council (Union), the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council (Union) are formalized with the presence of 6 members and are valid with 5 votes.
4- Based on the approval of the board of directors on July 14, 1401, the general assembly is formalized with the presence of the majority. In the meeting of the general assembly of the union, Mr. Manouchehr Mohammadi was introduced to the members of the general assembly as a candidate for the board of directors of Khane Cinema, otherwise he was already elected by the board of directors with the presence of seven out of nine members.
In the final paragraphs of this letter, it is emphasized that the representatives of the trade union who were previously introduced were invited in writing to attend the General Assembly of the Supreme Council (Union), and they have announced that they will not attend, and therefore, the honorable president of the trade union has no objection. It is legal and against the previously agreed principles and approvals. (A protest raised in cyberspace and some media) while Mousavi further wrote that it was expected that the respected trade union community would send their protest to the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council (Union). Also, two permanent seats of the trade union of producers are reserved for the representatives of the trade union.
