First, we created the series “Hal Khoob” commissioned by Nehdat, which was about people who are trying to be good despite all the problems in the society.

He added: We found people who had financial and non-material conflicts and were from different ethnicities and cities. They had reached a kind of maturity and tried to be happy in all circumstances. This series was made in 10 episodes and these people talked about their world view and why they are still doing well despite all the hardships.

Akbari further said about the documentary “Mr. Everyone” that was made for this year: It is necessary for us to show relatives in documentaries. It is important for me to show that Iran is not a mono-ethnic country. We wanted to show this feature in the documentary and that’s why we went to the funeral of Lorestan. Every ethnic group mourns Imam Hussain (a.s.). They do it in a way

In further explanation, he added: In this documentary, the mourning of the people of Lorestan for Imam Hossein (AS) is depicted so that it will not be forgotten and the history and past of these ceremonies will be preserved. In particular, each ethnic group mourns Imam Hussain (AS) in a different way, and it may not be limited to breast-pumping everywhere.

Akbari clarified: One of our concerns was to make people know the tribes better, and with this idea, based on the research that was done about mourning in Lorestan, we entered production and went to Lorestan on the same days of Tasua and Ashura last year.

The director of “Mr. Everyone” stated: One of the characteristics of mourning ceremonies in Lorestan is burying, and in the mourning of Imam Hossein (a.s.) this act becomes even more intense, and it was interesting to me that the people of this province lay in mud. During the days of Tasu’a and Ashura, they make a pond with mud mixed with water and completely go into it. This custom is for men and women put flowers on a part of their clothes.

Referring to another ceremony, he said: They have a ceremony called “Forty Pulpits” which is held the day before Tasu’a and is mostly reserved for women. They go to Chehlminbar or Hosseinieh and light a candle at the entrance of these houses to relieve themselves.

This director pointed out that no picture of these mournings has been released so far and said: I did not see a picture because I was looking for these mournings myself and there were only limited pictures that people had taken.

When people find out, the people of Afghanistan are surprised at first

He also explained about the documentary itself and its structure: we had interviews with officials who had done research in this area, and a part was with the people themselves and their mourning. In total, there were several hours of mourning pictures, and we had more than an hour of interviews with each of our friends, and we had several hours of rush, which turned into a documentary episode.

In another part, this director said about his work as an Afghan documentary maker and whether he has any challenges or not: The main problem is mostly legal problems, and we do not have any problems in terms of the work itself, that is, mostly in the field of contracts and the issues We are in legal trouble.

Akbari explained about his other problems: I was born in Iran itself and we have been living in this country for many years, and for this reason, when people find out that I am from Afghanistan, they are surprised at first and have never refused to cooperate. But the problem is the same the issues It is a law that we do not have a birth certificate and we live with residency.
