Netanyahu’s claim: The nuclear agency has surrendered to Iran

According to Fars News Agency International Group, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the regime which in the past years has been one of the main influences on the politicization of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s course of action towards Iran, accused this international body of surrendering to Iran and politicking. .

According to the Reuters news agency, Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the IAEA is facing the risk of becoming a political and irrelevant organization.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, in its quarterly report published on Tuesday last week, confirmed the closure of several cases of allegations against Iran.

Among other things, the agency stated in that report that Iran’s explanations about the claims of the presence of 84% uranium particles at a site in Iran were not inconsistent with the assessments made by the inspectors of this international organization.

A part of the report states: “The agency informed Iran that after evaluating the data, it came to the conclusion that the information provided was not inconsistent with Iran’s explanations, and the agency does not have any further questions in this regard at this stage.”

In this report, it is also stated that the agency has closed its investigation on the discovery of uranium of human origin in Marivan. Sources close to the Zionist regime have repeatedly claimed that Marivan is one of Iran’s secret nuclear sites that works to manufacture weapons.

The Islamic Republic of Iran said that the uranium particles found may have been related to “laboratory tools and equipment” used by miners at the site. The nuclear agency called Iran’s response a “probable explanation”.

The report states: “The agency currently has no further questions about the depleted uranium particles found in Marivan, and this issue is no longer among the remaining issues at this stage.”

On Friday, Netanyahu said in a statement to cabinet members that was broadcast on the regime’s television: “Iran continues to lie to the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

He added: “If the agency becomes a political organization, its monitoring duties in Iran as well as its reports on Iran’s nuclear activities will be irrelevant.”

In the past years, Western countries led by the United States and the Zionist regime have accused Iran of pursuing military goals in the country’s nuclear program. Iran has strongly denied these claims.

Iran emphasizes that as one of the signatories of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to access nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

In addition, inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency have visited Iran’s nuclear facilities many times but have never found any evidence that the country’s peaceful nuclear energy program has been diverted towards military purposes.

In addition, in 2015, Iran reached an agreement with the countries known as the 5+1 group to resolve tensions over its nuclear program. Despite the International Atomic Energy Agency’s acknowledgment of Iran’s adherence to all its obligations, the US government unilaterally withdrew from this agreement in May 2017.

On the other hand, the Zionist regime is the only holder of nuclear weapons in the West Asian region, and with the support of the United States, it has kept its nuclear weapons program away from international monitoring.

The authorities of the Zionist regime had already reacted to the agency’s new quarterly report. Three days ago, the spokesman of the foreign ministry of this regime, “Liver Hayat”, also condemned the termination of the atomic agency’s investigation on a facility in Marivan and described it as “a matter of great concern” for Tel Aviv.
