New Canadian sanctions against Russian organizations and citizens

The Canadian government announced in a statement on Tuesday that it had imposed new sanctions on Russian citizens and organizations, Reuters reported. According to the statement, Canada has imposed sanctions on 22 Russian nationals and four Canadian organizations for attacking Ukraine.
According to an official statement from the Canadian government, the sanctions include 22 senior Russian officials and their families, as well as four state-owned financial institutions and banks.
Since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, Canada has imposed sanctions on more than 1,050 citizens and government agencies in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Earlier, the Canadian federal government imposed sanctions on 32 organizations and companies related to Russia’s military and security services, including the country’s foreign intelligence service.
The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, who announced new sanctions against Russia on the last day of his European tour, said that the trade of Russian elites in Canada will be stopped and their assets will be frozen.
