New financial assistance from the World Bank to Ukraine

According to Iran Economist, Reuters wrote on Tuesday night that $500 million of this amount is from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development of the World Bank, which is granted with a British guarantee.

According to World Bank officials, the new loan will be granted in order to improve access to health care and meet the needs of health services in war conditions.

In continuation of its continuous financial support to Ukraine, in early December, the World Bank had helped the country with 4.5 billion dollars to meet its urgent needs in the winter season.

In this regard, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmihal, met with the Vice President of the World Bank, Anna Bejerd, and discussed the support of the country’s government budget for 2023, as well as joint programs in the energy, transportation, and health care sectors.
