According to Tejarat News, Rahim Sarhangi, CEO of Kish Free Zones, said: What happened regarding the international stock exchange is that we started with the commodity exchange; That is, we had negotiations with the stock exchange organization, especially the commodity exchange, and on the other hand, the producers and suppliers, and we assigned a building to it. A few producers also came and the agreement in principle was taken and we are trying to launch it.

He added: Of course, there are preparations for this so that we can identify our market. We have also had negotiations and considering that Kish is close to 7 countries, we are using this issue for this purpose.

Serhangi said: “Qatar, Oman and the UAE are the countries that we have talked with in this regard. Of course, we need to upgrade the infrastructure. Products that demand should be offered. We hope that we will be able to register the first transaction in the international stock market in 1403.”

This official stated: One of the challenges is that there is no similar experience in this field in the country, therefore, its different dimensions must be measured.

In response to the journalists’ question about the possible products that will be offered in the international commodity exchange? He said: Similar to pistachio, saffron and the products that the petitioner has, our goal is to inform them if it is completed.

He added: As it has been said, no one is against the International Stock Exchange, but there may be no consensus in areas such as what it is and its goals.

Earlier, Eshghi, the head of the stock exchange organization, said in this regard: the international stock exchange is in the stage of completing the founders, and once the founders are closed, the discussions related to subscription and other steps will be carried out.

He further stated: It is not possible to announce a time for the international stock exchange and it depends on the follow-ups of the Secretariat of Free Zones because they are following up on the work and if the follow-ups continue, we can hope that it will be operational by the end of the year.

Eshghi in response to the question of whether the Stock Exchange Organization is against the International Stock Exchange? He stated: “Once we have issued the license, we can no longer say that we are against it.”
