“Nineteen Pieces” is a narrative of the conflict between fear and duty in the hard times of Corona

According to Fars news agency, the documentary “Nineteen” directed by Masoud Dehnavi, produced by Fatah’s narrative documentary group, will be aired tonight at 20:00 on Documentary Network. This documentary is a story of two young students who voluntarily bathe patients who died due to corona.
Masoud Dehnavi, the director of the documentary “Part 19” in an interview with the reporter of Fars news agency about this documentary and why it was produced, said: Part 19 is a narrative and confrontation of fear and duty, which unfortunately happened in the early days of the Corona virus due to the lack of awareness of the people, mainly the Ghosals, about the Corona deaths. There was a lot of fear and the ghosals did not wash the corona patients because of the existing dangers. It was in this situation that the students started to work and took action with the intention of performing a religious duty. But the story of piece 19 is not only about this issue; Rather, this issue has been borrowed and addressed to the story of the student who is stuck between fear and duty and a challenge and problem has been created for him.
This documentary maker also pointed to the time when he started working on the documentary of the 19th episode in the early days of the spread of the Corona virus and stated: As a documentarian who has often been present in crisis situations, I believe that the stories that take place in the crisis itself and the challenges and There are tensions in the text and its content. It is much more interesting and important, of course, that we could have waited until the danger decreased and the situation stabilized, like many colleagues and documentary makers, and then produce a research and archival documentary. But we preferred to record the situation of the society in the same mood as it was in the early days of the spread of the corona virus.
Dehnavi also said about the humor in this work, despite the cold outlook prevailing in the social atmosphere of those days: One of the important reasons why I tried to add humor in the documentary was the very cold and bitter situation of Corona in those days. There was in the society, on the other hand, most of the work takes place in the wash house and the cemetery, and the atmosphere of death and dying in the film made the output of the work very dark, for this reason, I had to inject a very small amount of humorous situations to soften and balance the atmosphere of the film so that the audience They didn’t reject it and follow the film. In fact, the humorous situations in the film make the audience continue to be present until the end of the documentary.
The documentary “Part Nineteen” directed by Masoud Dehnavi will be aired on Monday, November 29 at 20:00 on the documentary network. This film was previously selected as a selected work in a prestigious festival such as Haqit and Ishraq.
