“No one is waiting for you” opened in the city of Mashhad/ from the special screening in the injured women’s camp to the official opening in the Huizeh campus.

According to Fars news agency, the official screenings of the documentary film “No One is Waiting for You”, produced by Soura Documentary Center, directed and produced by Mohsen Islamzadeh, for which regional and event-oriented shows are planned in the form of “Rovish” broadcasting, last December 28 in Mashhad began.
This documentary was first shown in a special screening at Hayat Javadan camp for injured women and then it was screened at Imam Reza International University. Also, the official opening of this work took place on the evening of Monday, December 28, in Hall No. 1 of the Mashhad Huize campus.
In this event, which was accompanied by a documentary screening and a review meeting, managers of drug addiction camps related to the General Welfare Department and Mashhad Municipality, officials of the social field of various bases of the Imam Reza Corps (AS), assistants and consultants of the General Department of the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (RA) ), counselors, educational assistants of the seven educational districts, artists and activists in the field of documentary and cinema, women’s affairs advisors of the executive bodies, members of the Youth Cinema Association, Majid Asgari, the head of Khorasan Razavi province’s artistic field, documentary agents, etc. were present.
After the screening of the documentary “No one is waiting for you”, Mohsen Islamzadeh, the producer of the film, said at the beginning of the review meeting: “I am very happy that the screening of this documentary has started in Mashhad.” First, I must say that the recording of this work started on March 27, 1999 and ended in August 1400. “No one is waiting for you” has tried to address the problem of drug addicts, especially women who have been harmed in this area, and to say that this problem cannot be solved with negative measures, especially in Tehran province as the capital.
Referring to the closure of Sepideh Alizadeh Harm Reduction Center as the subject of the documentary, he said: Closing the center of this social activist was a big mistake on the part of the responsible institutions, and unfortunately, it is not clear that a large number of women who were supported in this center are now Where are they in the city and what happened to them?
At the end of his speech, this documentary maker noted: Documentary cinema has many capabilities and different things can be done in its format. In the past, people looked at the cinema just for fun, but now they have come to the conclusion that people should be talked to, and the documentary maker can make people’s voices heard by the authorities. It goes without saying that the cinema must reach the pain of the society, otherwise it has no effect on the society.
Zahra Khavari, a sociologist and university professor, was the other speaker of the meeting, who stated: This documentary is a women’s narrative of issues and harms that women are involved in and face in society. Events that are usually less narrated in our society and discussed at this level. So, I must say that the courage of the director to depict the story of damaged women is commendable.
He continued: When women face a social harm, it becomes more difficult for them to solve it, and they are involved in double violence when facing the people they encounter. As we see in this work, over time, women experience powerlessness, desperation, isolation, narrowness and the loss of maternal power and the fall of personality, and one of the reasons for this is their abandonment by their families.
Stating that we live in a society with many policies in favor of men, this sociologist said: injured men can return to society more easily than women. This problem is caused by the fact that women have less social skills and more financial dependence, and they are also in trouble physically, mentally and personally.
Khavari added: The word “alienation” is quite evident in this film, and if we want to address it, we must say that when a large part of society suffers from physical problems caused by addiction, they do not have the power to manage and analyze environmental conditions. On the other hand, the society also puts them in an atmosphere of lack of support, and this makes us unable to return people to the society.
He emphasized: the lack of support causes opportunities to be lost and the society to become fragile; A society that takes its essence from its members. So, when the members of the society suffer from fragility and disillusionment, injuries and abnormalities grow and thus the power of human recovery is lost. Therefore, both the policy makers and the audience, respectively, should adopt policies and do things so that vulnerable people can return to the society, and at the beginning of the important thing is to know the people first.
In the end, this sociologist pointed out: the downfall of a woman in the society brings the downfall of the society, so the policy makers and members of the society should act more cautiously, and in this context it is necessary to review the policies.
Further, Vahid Bakhshi, a member of the academic staff of Jihad University, pointed out that “Nobody is waiting for you” has dealt with a social issue that has a great impact on people’s daily behavior, and said: This documentary is the narrative of two women; The supportive woman and the damaged woman, both of whom are involved in their own problems. Injured women, whose role is clear, but the narrative of the second woman, who is a supporter, is struggling with serious injuries, but because she is in the upper middle class, it is not visible.
In another part of his speech, he stated: Social issues have two types of causes; A group of root causes that can usually be extracted from the narrative of each person’s life in such a way that we can analyze our problems with root causes in our own lives. Of course, sociologists do not address these causes and call them personal issues.
This academic staff member continued: But an event becomes a social issue when a cause or life factor affects a large number of people. It can be said that currently the macro level and social structure has been damaged and the problem should be solved at the macro level. Just focusing on small issues will not solve social problems, and if we cannot solve these problems, dozens of people like Sepideh Alizadeh will not be able to handle it because they do not have the capacity.
Bakhshi pointed out in the end: The thing that needs the most care and we should put energy for it is that the rate of entry of healthy people into the field of addiction and deviance is reduced so that our helpers can focus on their specialized field and contribute to the society.
At the end, Mohsen Islamzadeh was honored by Khorasan Razavi art field.
The social documentary “No one is waiting for you”, which is broadcasted by Roish Broadcasting Office of Bahmansabez Institute, will be screened for the audience in Mashhad’s Hoizeh cinema every day until the 5th of December. Soon, other special events of this work will be held in some cities of Iran.
