Azarfar stressed that the production of other livestock products in the province has not changed: Last year, 35,000 tons of milk, 400 tons of wool and 150 tons of curd were produced in the nomadic areas of the province.

Government efforts to help boost production

The government is trying to boost nomadic production by providing low-cost banking facilities for livestock feed and fattening.

He pointed out that the payment of bank facilities is one of the important reasons for increasing meat production in the nomadic areas of the province: since last year, seven billion and 192 million tomans of bank facilities for the purchase of fodder and fattening have been paid to farmers in these areas.

Director General of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Tribal Affairs stated: Last year, 6 billion and 490 million Tomans were paid to the tribal applicants of this province from the credits of the National Development Fund and also 702 million Tomans from the financial resources of Articles 10 and 12 of the drought.

Azarfar stated that the amount of each of the mentioned loans was based on the number of livestock from 50 to 100 million Tomans and said: economic prosperity, creating employment for the nomads and providing the meat and milk needed by the province are among the objectives of paying the facilities.

Plan to help nomadic welfare

Allocating solar panels to provide lighting and charging mobile phones for nomads is one of the measures that has brought prosperity to nomads in recent years.

The head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Infrastructure of the General Directorate of Nomadic Affairs of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Provinces said: 1,110 solar panels have been allocated to the nomads of this province and this equipment will be handed over to the applicants this year.

Mehdi Abbasian stated: The list of applicants who requested a solar panel has been prepared and sent to carry out the purchase process.

He specified: these panels (systems) have the ability to produce 100 watts of electricity and will provide lighting of at least five low-energy light bulbs, charging flashlights and mobile phones.

Development of nomadic life infrastructure
