Non-acceptance of archival photos in the 13th Razavi Photo Festival

According to Fars correspondent, Rasul Oliyazadeh, one of the leading photographers of our country, is the director of the 13th Razavi International Photo Festival. He, who had a prominent presence in the previous editions of this festival, considers the secretary of this department this year from Altaf Imam 8th.

Oliazadeh told Fars about the goals of his directorship in the photo section of the festival: based on the meetings we had with the foundation officials to make this section more fruitful, we came to the conclusion that the submitted works this year should be the creation of a new work produced by this festival.

In explaining this, he continued: Based on this, archival photos will not be included in this year’s festival, but the work must be a production.

The secretary of the 13th Razavi International Photo Festival announced the establishment of educational workshops for the participants and noted: on this basis, photographers are taught how to produce photos with Razavi themes, which is the difference between this year’s festival and the previous ones.

According to Oliyazadeh, in this field, workshops will be held with the presence of prominent professors, so that these professors will explain their scientific and artistic points of view to photographers, and then the photographer should produce works based on these materials.

According to the secretary of the photography department of Imam Reza International Festival, the educational workshops that are held in this direction are in all aspects, including the artistic, specialized, existential cognitive dimensions of the Imam, etc., so that photographers can gain the insight and knowledge necessary to produce a great work.

He expressed the hope that with this process, we will be able to achieve a good result for the festival in the photo section this year.

This veteran photographer of our country mentioned in another part of his speech: Hazrat Reza, peace be upon him, did not have a single personality dimension, but he was the manifestation of all good qualities and dispositions.

He said: Considering this importance, the artist can create works in all aspects of science, culture, politics, Moin al-Faza’i, etc.

Oliyazadeh pointed out: The purpose of our workshops and educational workshops is to explain the existential and personality dimensions of this imam of the Hammam and the aspects of Razavi’s life, so that photographers can move in this direction and present lasting works.

According to him, the 8th Imam had very interesting political encounters and debates during the reign of Ma’mun, which presents remarkable personality dimensions that can be a good idea for producing works.

He pointed to the rain prayer performed by Hazrat Reza (a.s.) and expressed: The same rain prayer that he led and the clouds started raining by God’s will and his request is also very beautiful, so all these aspects should be reflected in the works of artists.

The secretary of the 13th Razavi International Photography Festival also emphasized the need to deeply understand the character and life of the 8th Imam and noted: We must understand his existential dimensions, tenderness, kindness, and sunshine, because in this case, he himself will help us to create works. They provide

Emphasizing the need to create works that will introduce Imam Reza (AS) to the world, he said: I feel that the more we increase our emotional relationship with him, the more we can have different perceptions of his different layers of existence.

At the end of his speech, he reminded: It is in this way that we can present these perceptions to the society in visual contexts and explain the existential dimensions of the Prophet to the audience.
