Nowruz celebration “Spring of Iran” continues until April 17/ 6 hours of live stage and Ramadan celebration in Mellat Park


According to the art and media reporter of Fars news agency, “Bahar Iran” village is a special program of Tehran Municipality’s General Cultural Department, which is held in a number of selected parks in Tehran on the occasion of the arrival of Nowruz and the holy month of Ramadan. It is the general citizens of Tehran.

Mustafa Sabetinejad, the general cultural director of Tehran Municipality, explained about the various programs of this festival, which will be held in 7 Bostan Mellat, Nahj al-Balagheh, Azadegan, Velayat, Police, Laleh and Hazrat Waliasr Aj Shahrari: The General Cultural Department of Tehran Municipality has designated Bostan Mellat as The main base was chosen for the special implementation of programs for Nowruz and the holy month of Ramadan, and with the establishment of the “Bahar Iran” village, it holds many special programs there. This park will be open to the public and citizens from the beginning of Ramadan until April 17.

He said about the main programs in this Ramadhan Nowruz celebration: We have more than 6 hours of live programs every night at Bostan Mellat stage. These programs started at around 17:30 and the first part of it continues until Iftar with the performance of the song and Tawasheeh group. On the eve of the maghrib call to prayer, the recitation of the Qur’an is performed live by prominent reciters of the country, and we go to welcome the congregational prayer and breaking the fast. I must mention that there is a place for holding congregational prayers and the tea house distributes simple iftar. This teahouse welcomes more than 7 thousand citizens every night.

He continued: After breaking the fast, the stage programs will continue with the performance of ethnic and international music groups, contests and entertainment, poetry readings, special items for children, impersonators, speeches, etc. Hajj al-Islam Bermai and Shahab Moradi give lectures every other night. Also, poetry reading by the country’s ritual poets is another part of the programs of this stage. So far, poets such as Saeed Biabanki, Hadi Janfeda, etc. have appeared in Iran’s Spring Village. In addition, a lighting ceremony is held every night in Bostan Mellat.

About the invitation to ethnic and international music groups, Sabinejad said: “We are happy that this year we are hosting a local music group from different ethnic groups in our country and an international music group from neighboring countries. So far, ethnic music groups from Lorestan, Bushehr, Khorasan and… They have come to “Bahar Iran” village located in Bostan Mellat and we have also received groups from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. These groups have come to this big celebration with the coordination of Region 3 municipality and embassies.

While explaining the series of sports activities designed in Bostan Mellat, he said: One of the most popular programs in Iran’s Bahar village is the sports activities booth, which has a variety of items in its heart. “Sand Beach” is special for children, and in the recreational island, there are various parts such as boating, sledding, zip line, jumping, hand football, computer games, shooting, etc. for the general audience. I must mention that citizens can use all these programs free of charge.

The general cultural director of Tehran Municipality announced the holding of a flower and plant exhibition in Mellat Garden and said: During the village programs, a flower and plant exhibition will also be held in Mellat Garden, which is one of the most popular parts for the audience. Spring flowers give a beautiful color to this part of the village and it is open to all citizens. I must mention that the stage of the program is also decorated with a carpet of 4 thousand spring flowers.

He added: In another part of the village, two booths have been designed for girls; one of these booths is for the supply of chastity and hijab products to teenage girls. Also, free-thinking sessions and discussions about hijab are held there. Opposite this booth, another section is designed for girls to have fun with children’s games. Of course, during these entertainments, an effort has been made to teach moral and religious topics to children in an artistic way.

He said about the audience’s response to Bahar Iran Village in Bostan Mellat: Based on our estimates, on average, about 9 to 10 thousand people attended this festival village every night and used its different parts. Of course, we expect this number to grow by the end of the holidays. “Bahar Iran” village is standing in Bostan Mellat until April 17, and the programs continue every night until 12:00.
