Obama’s warning about the continuation of political violence in America

According to IRNA’s report on Wednesday, Reuters wrote: Obama made these statements in response to the hammer attack on the wife of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Obama expressed his deep concern about the “destruction of the basic norms of civility and democracy” in a campaign for Democratic Party candidates in Nevada yesterday; That too in the country where the supporters of former US President Donald Trump attacked the Congress in a violent move in an attempt to change the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The former Democratic President of the United States said: The habit of demonizing political opponents, which has increased these days, creates a dangerous atmosphere.

He blamed the authorities for not being able to oppose the violence, to shed light on it, or to fuel it with their hateful rhetoric.

“This is the atmosphere we’ve created, and more people are going to be hurt by it,” Obama said.

A 42-year-old man has been accused of entering the home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday and attacking her 82-year-old husband Paul Pelosi in her absence, breaking his skull and causing other injuries.

The former Democratic President of the United States made these comments while he was in Las Vegas to support Democratic candidates who are preparing to participate in tight races for governor and Senate in the midterm elections on November 8.

According to Reuters, Obama, who left the White House in 2017 after serving two terms, is also the most popular president of the Democratic Party and has so far participated in campaigns in Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia.

On Wednesday, he will continue his promotional tour in the states of Arizona and on Saturday in Pennsylvania. These two states have the most intense races for governor and senators.

American mid-term elections will be held on November 8 (November 17). In this election, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 out of 100 seats in the Senate will be contested. At the same time, the candidates of the two Republican and Democratic parties will compete for the position of governor in 36 American states.
