According to Mehr’s reporter, Iran’s national football team played against Nicaragua on Thursday in a preparatory match, and the tragic event of this game was the injury of Omid Ebrahimi, the midfielder of the national team.
Ebrahimi, who entered the field as a substitute in the second half, got injured after a few moments and was replaced again.
Mehr reporter’s follow-ups show that the severity of Ebrahimi’s injury is such that he will not be able to play for about two months, and thus he will miss the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
This player was one of the main pillars of the national team during the last World Cup in Russia, and now Carlos Queiroz has to replace him with another player.
Ebrahimi is currently a member of Al Wakrah Club in Qatar.
