One appearance in the final and one bronze medal for the Iranian boxing representatives in the Asian age group competitions



According to IRNA from the Boxing Federation, the Asian Junior Boxing Championship was followed this evening (Thursday) in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and Alireza Mousavi reached the final match.

In the 66 kg semifinals, Mousavi went against Malik Jadallah from Jordan and defeated his opponent with a one-sided performance and a score of 5: 0. He will compete for the gold medal against Sanzar Aliyev Aliyev of Uzbekistan. Mousavi had previously defeated Ayamram from Thailand to attend the semi-finals.

In today’s competition, Seyed Ali Akbar Mirahmadi competed in the semifinals in the 63 kg weight category against Joji Akbar Kudratov of Uzbekistan. Despite a very good performance, he lost 3: 2 to his opponent and won a bronze medal.

In the first round of the match, Mirahmadi lost 4-1 to the referees, but in the second and third rounds, he defeated his opponent 3: 2 and 4-1, respectively, in a one-sided fight, respectively. Ascended as the victor.

Mirahmadi defeated Dalantai Tangiz of Mongolia to reach the semifinals.

Reza Mehdipour is the head coach of Iran’s national youth and youth boxing teams and Morteza Sepahvandi, Mehdi Tolouti and Mohammad Mehdipour are the coaches. In these competitions, Mehdi Shafiei is in charge of the Iranian team.

The Asian Junior and Youth Boxing Championships started on Wednesday, March 2nd.
