Unfortunately, WhatsApp software, despite being one of the most popular social networks, still does not offer this feature, and deleting messages in conversations is possible only 68 minutes after sending the message!

But now, according to a new report published by 91Mobiles, this issue is going to change and one of the most practical features of Telegram, namely deleting messages without a time limit, will soon be added to WhatsApp. According to the report, although the possibility of deleting the message completely has not yet been made public, it is clear that the manufacturer is working specifically on it.

The “Delete for everyone” option was first introduced in WhatsApp four years ago. At first this option had a time limit of seven minutes, and after this time from sending the message, you could no longer delete your message. After a while, this limit is increased to one hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds after sending the message, which, of course, despite the telegram messenger that has long added this feature to its software, such figures seem ridiculous.

Delete messages in WhatsApp without time limit

As you can see in the image above, in the trial and beta versions of the WhatsApp update, a new option called “delete for everyone” has been added and you will be able to easily delete your messages after sending. According to the WABetaInfo website, the exact time limit for this feature has not yet been determined, but they have also been able to delete messages sent three months ago.

Therefore, it seems that this feature will be much more useful than before. Note, however, that the possibility of deleting a message without a time limit in WhatsApp is currently in the testing phase, and it is not clear until the public release whether there will be more restrictions for it or not.

We also do not know if messages sent to the software before this feature was added can be deleted. Facebook has not announced any release date for this feature, and currently only beta owners can enable it.

Other new features that will be added to WhatsApp

It seems that the existence of strong competitors such as Telegram has caused WhatsApp administrators to make more efforts, and new attractive features for the Android and iOS versions of these popular messengers are on the way. Members of the WhatsApp beta test program (which unfortunately new people can’t join right now) have announced the addition of features such as image-by-image and a functional control bar for new pages.
