One year since the end of the American occupation in Afghanistan; The scars that are still there

According to IRNA’s China Daily report on Tuesday, poverty and unemployment have increased throughout Afghanistan over the past year with the withdrawal of American troops and the fall of the country’s previous government, and the number of beggars in Kabul, the capital of this country, is increasing day by day.

About 3 million Afghan children dropped out of school and work to earn a meager income for their families.

Afghanistan, which is now in urgent need of post-war reconstruction, has faced worsening humanitarian and economic crisis and terrorist attacks since the Taliban came to power on August 15 last year. America, which hastily left Afghanistan and ignored all its responsibilities and obligations, deserves to be blamed.

Ashim Steiner, head of the United Nations Development Program, said earlier this year: “A report was presented last year in which it was estimated that 97 percent of the people of Afghanistan will live in poverty by the middle of 2022, and unfortunately at an unpredictable rate.” We reached this statistic.”

Thus, it seems that Afghanistan is facing an irreversible economic collapse. The banking system is blocked and the lack of money has caused 80% of people to be in debt. Afghan assets worth 9 billion dollars have been frozen by the US as part of the new government’s sanctions program.

On the other hand, 20 years of war in this country has caused a serious lack of infrastructure and energy supply.

Najibullah Jami, a professor at Kabul University, criticized and blamed America for the humanitarian crisis and told reporters: “America has only brought death and bloodshed to the people of Afghanistan in 20 years. “The tragedy that the Americans created here continues.”

During the 20-year war, the United States waged a war against terrorism based on its own geopolitical goals, which led to the increase of terrorist organizations in this country.

Abuzar Khapalwak Zazaei, another professor from Kabul University, also pointed out that America left the people of Afghanistan in a difficult situation and added: “According to its own interests, America includes any group in its list of terrorist groups whenever it wants, and any group whenever it wants.” removes from it.

No major conflict has been reported in Afghanistan since August last year. Despite this, ISIS has carried out dozens of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan during this period. In Kabul alone, there has been a bomb attack every two or three days.

The current government of Afghanistan has generally achieved stability throughout the country, but it is still difficult to deal with terrorist groups.
