Orientation and training workshop of Birjand accommodation units was held

“One of the most difficult conditions in recent decades has been the corona outbreak, which has severely affected various aspects of the country’s social life and its negative effects in the field,” said Hassan Ramezani, a public relations officer at the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan. “The economy is more visible, but these effects are very great for the tourism sector, and there are many problems in tourism.”

“The impact on tourism in South Khorasan has been twofold, as the province’s tourism is young and fledgling, and most units have used banking resources, and the Corona problems have had more consequences for our province,” added the director general of South Khorasan Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts.

Ramezani continued: “The Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts has provided measures to compensate for the current situation to the extent permitted by law and resources, although these measures are not sufficient to counter these losses and more attention should be paid to the tourism sector.”

“Tourism is an intermediate issue that affects the problems of other sectors, and assistance to the tourism sector requires the assistance of all executive bodies,” he said.

“Each of the tourism units has provided employment for several people, and with the closure of each of them, several families will lose their jobs and sources of income,” Ramezani continued.

“Despite all the difficulties and problems we have in the province, the tourism facilities of the province have taken steps towards the development of the province, and we must help make this way smoother for them, and we are ashamed that we can not do much against the volume of losses of tourism facilities,” he said. “Let’s do the province.”

He added: “The end of the province’s economic development depends on the development of the tourism sector, and God willing, problems will be solved with the development of the province’s facilities such as railways, etc. We hope for a bright future for the province and we will surely go through this difficult period with God’s help.” “I am sincerely grateful and ashamed of your efforts.”

After the speeches of the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province, a briefing and training workshop was held for the accommodation units of Birjand city and the cases were reminded to the unit managers and the managers of the accommodation units raised their problems, comments and suggestions.
